一、    培养目标

I. Objectives of Education

建筑学专业培养学生德、智、体、美的健全人格,掌握建筑学基本概念,掌握建筑设计原理、基本技能和设计方法,具备从事建筑设计工作和注册建筑师的能力;理解建筑与城市、建筑与环境的关系,掌握城市与环境设计的基本原理;了解与建筑学相关的其它学科知识、现行的建筑法规、技术规范和工程建设的程序,初步具备多工种协调的能力;熟悉中外建筑的发展历史、国内外主要建筑流派的基本理论和历史成因,理解建筑与文化的关系,具备一定前瞻知识,能用理论指导实践;具备较强的实践能力、创新能力和创业能力。基本掌握一门外语,能较顺利地阅读本专业外文书刊及相关资料,并具备一定的外语交际能力。

The architecture specialty trains student's personality morally, intelligently physically and aesthetically, train them to grasp architecture basic conception, the design principle of buildings, basic technical ability and design method so as to be qualified to do architectural design and to work as registered architect; Understand the relation between building and city, building and environment, grasp the basic principle of urban design and environment design; Understand other discipline knowledge that correlate with architecture: current building codes, technical specification, process of engineering construction, train the ability of work coordination; Familiar with the basic theories of the developing history of the Chinese and foreign architecture, domestic and international main architectural school and historical origin, understand the relation between architecture and culture, have advance knowledge and can guide practice with theory; possess good practice ability, innovation ability and undertaking ability. Grasp a foreign language basically, can read specialized foreign language books and periodicals and relevant materials smoothly, and be capable of foreign language communication.

II. Features of the Program

1、强调建筑与环境、建筑与城市、市内设计与建筑设计、建筑与技术等的结合。充分关注国内外建筑界理论动态,使专业教育具有一定前瞻性。

1. Emphasizes on the combination of building and environment, building and city, interior design and architectural design, building and technology, etc.. Pays close attention to the domestic and international theory trends in architectural field so as to keep the specialized education perspective.

2、本系教师具有较强的科研优势,注重地方传统建筑与建筑文化研究,在教学中包含了丰富的湖湘特色、书院文化与地域建筑的内容。

2, The architectural education of our department has its academic research advantage especially in the study of local traditional architecture and architectural culture such as academy culture which presents the spectacular culture of Hunan.

3、既具有稳定性,又具有不断发展变化的灵活性,以积极适应国家建设的需要。

4、国际合作特点:我系由国际合作科研项目,有互派师生交流计划,并且双方承认互选学分的协议。

4, International cooperation characteristic: In our department there are scientific research projects of international cooperation, exchange plans of teachers and students, in which both sides accept the agreement of the co- opt credit.

三、学制与学位授予

III. Duration of the Program and Degree to Be Awarded

1、本科学制五年,按照学分制管理、实行弹性学习年限(最长7年)。

1. Length of schooling is reckoned as five years, students who have not got all the credits required in four years may extend their length of schooling to at most seven years.

2、授予建筑学学士学位。

2. Awarding degree: B.A. (Bachelor of Architecture)
